So, do you know how to make extra spicy chicken biryani? if not then you do not need to worry about it because today we will tell you the recipe for easy homemade chicken biryani.

So, without wasting our time let's get straight into it.

Ingredients:


Basmati rice(3 glasses)

Onion(3 medium-sized)

garlic paste(  1/2 tbsp)

ginger paste(1 and 1/2 tbsp)

Tomatoes(4 medium-sized)

Green chili(4-5)

Coriander leaves(3 handfuls)

Dry plum(15-20)

Oil (1 and 1/2 cups)

Chicken(half kg)

Garam masala powder(1 tbsp)

Red chili powder(1 tsp)

Cumin seeds(1 and 1/2 tsp)

Cardoman(4-5)

Yogurt(1/2 kg)

Salt(as required)

Potato(4 medium-sized)

Zarda food color(1/2 tsp)


Preparation:

Boil water:

In a pan, add rice.

Now add water to it.

Also add salt to it.

 

Boil the rice until 80% cooked.

Drain the rice well.


Chicken marination:

Take a bowl and add chicken to it.

Add turmeric powder,garam masala powder, and red chili powder.

Now add yogurt and mix it well.

Let the chicken be marinated for about 1 hour.

Don’t forget to place cuts in the chicken for good taste.

Chicken biryani masala:

• In a pan add oil.

• Now add onion to it.

On medium-low flame, fry onion until it turns golden brown.

Now add ginger and garlic paste and fry it for about 4-5 minutes.

Add tomatoes to it. 

Cover the pan and let it be cooked for about 10 minutes on low flame.

Now add marinated chicken, plum, and cardoman to it and mix it properly.

Boil the potatoes and cut them. 

Add the potatoes to the chicken masala.

Cook it on low flame for about 5 minutes.

Layering:

Take a pan and add ½ chicken biryani masala to it.

Now add ½ basmati rice to it and add the remaining biryani masala, also add green chilies and coriander leaves. 

Add remaining rice to it 

In 1 tbsp vinegar, mix zarda food color and sprinkle it on chicken biryani and cover it.

Let chicken biryani be cooked on low flame for about 30 minutes.
