Hey there. So, are you a fan of Thai soups and don’t know what to do? Don't worry I will tell you the recipe for the 2 most famous Thai soups.

i.e  Tom Yum Goong & Tom Kha Gai.

 

So, without wasting our time let's get straight into it.

Tom Yum

Tom Yum


Ingredients

·      Water (1 liter)

·      Lemon grass (2 stems )

·      Galangal (1)

·      Lime leaves (7-8)

·      Onion (1 small-sized)

·      Tomato (1 small-sized)

·      Chicken cubes (2)

·      Thai red curry paste (2 tbsp)

·      Green chili (2-3)

·      Fish sauce (2 tsp)

·      Prawn (200 g)

·      Mushroom (150 gram)

·      Lemon juice (2 tbsp)

Procedure

·      Cut the lemon grass, galangal, onion, tomato, green chilies, and mushrooms into slices.

·      In a pan add water.

·      Now add lemon grass, galangal, and lime leaves.

·      Cover and cook well on medium-low flame for about 30 minutes.

·      Add onion, tomato, and chicken cubes to the pan.

·      Cover and cook for about 2-3 minutes.

·      Mix it well.

·      Add Thai red curry paste, green chili, fish sauce, prawns, and mushrooms.

·      Cover and cover well on medium-low flame for 2-3 minutes.

·      Mix the soup well.    

·      Now add  lemon juice 

.      Your Tom Yum soup is ready to serve

 

 

Tom Kha Gai

Tom Kha Gai


Ingredients

·      Lemon grass (2 stems)

·      Galangal (5-6 slices)

·      White mushroom(5-6)

·      Thai red chilies (5-6)

·      Chicken fillet (250 g)

·      Water (2 cups)

·      Coconut milk (2 cups)

·      Lime leaves (2-3)

·      Sugar (1 tsp)

·      Fish sauce (1/2 tsp)

·      Lemon juice (1 tbsp)

·      Salt (to taste)

·      Fresh coriander (1-2 tbsp)

Procedure

·      Cut the lemon grass, galangal, white mushrooms, Thai red chilies, and chicken fillets into slices.

·      Now in the pan add water and coconut milk and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

·      Add chicken fillets, galangal, lemon grass, white mushrooms, lime leaves, fish sauce, sugar, lemon juice, and salt to the pan 

·      Cook well on low well on medium-low flame for about 20 minutes

·      Mix all the ingredients well.

·      Add fresh coriander.

·      Your Tom Kha Gai soup is ready to serve
